Makayla Lynn's debut cd "I'll Just Keep Being Me" is a work of heart far beyond what one would expect from an artist just 10 years old. Makayla Lynn who is often described as an "old soul" or "wise beyond her years" not only writes about issues that pertain to both young and old, but writes a quality of music that people cannot help but stop what they are doing and listen. Her songs include topics such as friendship, the death of a friend, motivation, the environment and bullying. One of the tracks "The Joke's On You" has been featured on news stations from the east to west coast of Canada. It has been adopted as an anti-bullying anthem in schools as far away as Japan and Australia. Whatever Makayla Lynn writes about, she writes from the heart.

Makayla Lynn is proud to not only be the lead vocalist on this album but also to have performed all her own harmony vocals. The music is upbeat and energetic and while her voice is very mature it still has the angelic qualities of youth.
