简介
Searching for Neverland is The Capps' long anticipated follow up to their acclaimed 2009 release, My Blue Garden. They took their time writing this album and it delivers songs that have been road-tested, finely crafted and meticulously arranged over the past 6 years. By design this album is stylistically diverse, yet the songs work together as a collection of whimsical and smart, reflections and stories. Musically this album retains the familiar Capps sound that meets at the intersection of Americana & Folk with rock, jazz and bluegrass influences. With Searching for Neverland, Annie & Rod have remained true to their narrative "songs about broken things and poignant little ponderings delivered with a rootsy vibe, a touch of twang and a soulful groove." Recorded at Big Sky Recording in Ann Arbor by Geoff Michael and mastered by Glenn Brown at GBP Studios in E. Lansing, Searching for Neverland features all of the artists who are appearing at this concert as well as the great jazz drummer, Pete Siers (Paul Keller Orchestra) on several tracks.
