Mocking Bird Hill evolved from another project that was gaining momentum in the blues genre our decision to go country lead us to our Record Label CMG Nashville ( http://www.cmgrecords.com ) We are currently working on a new album for CMG Nashville and 4 music videos soon to be released on that label and being produced by Steven Riley Miranda Joy is our lead vocalist she is a beautiful girl with great stage presence. Starting at a young age singing in Southern IL and surrounding states she has become a driving force in Mocking Bird Hill her personality being somewhat of a perfectionist she drives the rest of the group to step up there game to keep up with her. Miranda's background is one of many vocal contests and stage appearances clubs to civic centers and opry houses throughout the area. David Batts is the Bassist and second Lead vocal in the group He has played on stages in 38 states in the U.S. and all across Canada in various touring Bands he has worked with such Greats as Haley's Comets, Bobby and the Bel-Airs, Eddie and the Stingrays and such Blues Artist Like Big Larry Williams. David was a part of a group that had 2 songs on Billboard in the early 80's he is no stranger to the stage by playing Casinos, Cruise Ships, Motel Hotel scene, small clubs and even played on pit row to open the Charlotte 500 for Richard Petty's retirement Party . David brings a blues and funk influence infused with Country to the mix. Willie Geiger is our Lead Guitarist a long time musician In Southern IL and California brings a southern Rock influence to the group having his background in Southern Rock , Country and Classic Rock gives the group a down south feel with a hard edged sound.
