简介
A wonderful group of musicians accompanied the acoustic guitars played by Robert Houk Hitchcock on this album. In addition to his favorite Taylor Guitars, Houk played a vintage 1942 Martin 000-28 with an awesome classic tone! For the Austin recordings, session player and frequent area musician, Alex Browne, laid down all the bass guitar tracks- upright bass, bowed bass, fretless bass and electric bass! Our recording engineer in Austin, Dave Beck, provided great percussion tracks there at Fast Horse Studios. At the Houston sessions, David Hitchcock, who has been on all of his dad's albums, did his great work on piano, organ and the acoustic lead guitar on Timothy. Our dear brother, Tom West, played harmonica for us. Guest violinist Jeff Duncan absolutely nailed his parts, providing character and atmosphere. Guest studio musician Will Van Horn played his heart out on pedal steel, mandolin and banjo. Tony Browne, in addition to wearing the Producer hat, played some great percussion and pedal steel tracks. Tony, as the producer for HEAVENLY, had a bold vision for the album and selected great, great parts to accompany the melodies. Rob Hitchcock was the associate producer and also mixed down the final tracks, providing his wonderful studio experience and a keen ear to make everything sound almost perfect. Mr. Paul Cox, owner of 226 Recordings, did an amazing job of recording, mixing and mastering! Enjoy this music for yourself, and then share your joy with others.
