This album has been well received in Australia, achieving widespread national airplay. Though very much grounded musically in the celtic folk tradition, lyrically, the album has a very latin American flavour, with many songs exploring themes of latin American shamanism and tribal spirituality. Tanglefoot is a collaborative effort. The unique and subtle finger-style guitaring of Michael Fairley combines gracefully with Rob Bruce's plaintive voice and poetic lyrics.
