Hello, to whomever is reading this. My name is Owen and I'm a comedian. I have been doing stand up comedy for over 20 years and "My Turn" is my very FIRST album. I was so young, 26 years old and so full of hope and promise. LOL You can literally hear it in my voice. I didn't curse. Back then my idol was Bill Cosby. I aspired to have a career just like his. I elected to use my government name and be clean just like him. (I made this decision way before we found out about his extra curricular activities of course) This album is a complete DIY situation. I recorded this myself with a minidisc (remember those) I purchased from Best Buy and a lav mic that I clipped to my lapel (I wore blazers on stage back then too) in front of 5,000 screaming college kids at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA all of whom where there to see Lewis Black who I had the honor of opening for. I hope you like this album. I listened to it recently with my wife and I'm very happy that a lot of the bits still hold up. This is something you can listen to with your kids. I am very proud of it.
