简介
The 12 to 6 Movement, is a super group comprised of three Emcees from three of the St. Louis Area’s top hip-hop acts. The roster consists of Ser Lesson from Forty til Five, JusTime from the Treez, and Spark1duh? aka Dusty Wallets from the Elements. Each Emcee brings their own distinct style and voice to the table and together make for a sound that falls somewhere in between the Wu-Tang Clan and The Beastie Boys, with hints of Atmosphere and The Pharcyde thrown in for good measure. The group has been making a lot of noise lately and as a collective they have played with national acts such as Nas, Slim Kid Tre of Pharcyde, LL Cool J, Keith Murray, Killah Priest, The Cool Kids, Raekwon, Kool Keith, Del The Funky Homosapien, NERD, Devin The Dude, Too Short, Bun B, Mac Lethal, Digable Planets, Shyheim, Count Bass D, Blueprint, Copywrite, Elliot Lipp, and virtually every act that’s making moves in the local and regional music scene. Their last release was a two part mixtape titled, “Judged by Twelve” and “Carried by Six”, where the group teamed up with national acts like Sadat X of Brand Nubian, and Killah Priest of the world famous Wu-Tang Clan, and brought some local friends along for the ride on a 35 song collection of all original music, crafted by some of StL’s finest producers. This collection consists of collaborative efforts and solo songs that display the raw hip-hop sound that has thrived in the St. Louis underground for over a decade despite little radio attention. Their current project , Titties Out, involves more national acts like Keith Murray, Joe Budden, Planet Asia, Raekwon, Bubba Sparxxx, Souls of Mischief, Killah Priest, and a return from Sadat X. Production is undertaken by Nelly’s platinum award winning producers, Jason “DJ Jay-E” Epperson and Jayson “Koko” Bridges, whose wide range of musical styles allowed the group to show their versatility as Emcees. Also there will be production from the Beatnuts. They recently released their first video for the project, “Can’t Be Done” which features Sadat X which was shot in between tapings of MTV’s show “Made”. The upcoming album is due for release early spring 2012 with plans of charting and touring nationally.
