First of all, Away in a Manger / Silent Night was inspired by my early childhood and young adult experiences singing and playing in church choirs. Since I can remember, I've always found great joy and delight during the Christmas holiday season, especially singing and listening to Christmas songs. Personally, I could listen to Christmas songs everyday. Secondly, during modern days just as it was during ancient days, I think it is important for us to have positive examples and role models to inspire us to hope and dream of better days. Thank you Jesus for being an example for me and others who sought and who seek to become all we were intended at the moment of our creation. No matter whether you were born financially poor or born with massive financial wealth, I believe the gift of creation and life is to be cherished, shared, and celebrated. Like Jesus, I am willing to share my gifts to make the world a better place which is primarily the reason why I teamed with one of Jazz's finest, Sweet Lu to share our rendition of these two wonderful songs with the world. Lastly, be at peace knowing that you have made a positive contribution to society in that a portion of the proceeds go to PUF (People United Foundation), a non-profit organization transforming under-served populations and ghettos into sustainable communities of educated leaders and entrepreneurs.
