Brian Jeffrey wrote his first song in 2009 following a challenging time, felt by most Americans. In his debut album, "I am Brian Jeffrey," Jeffrey examines the search for happiness, truth and love in a world that requires one to occasionally rise from the fire and stand taller than before. Brian Jeffrey’s musical awaken began when he purchased his Martin Guitar in 2007. Brian had played the guitar on and off through his teen and twenties, but gave it up to join the pursuit for U.S currency. From 1995-2010 Brian and his wife Nicole ran an employment agency that they started on their kitchen table. The business grew to a staff of 15 employees, responsible for the employment of over 1,000 people during the course of their careers. In 2008, the financial crisis that affected so many Americans ravaged their thriving business. The couple funded the struggling company for two years until they were finally forced to shut it down or risk losing everything. It was during this period that Brian Jeffrey, the musician, was born. The year before the financial collapse of 2008, Brian purchased a Martin guitar in an attempt to finally learn to play. For two years, he played daily, creating new arrangements for existing songs. Creative cover songs became his specialty. By the time the financial collapse hit, Brian Jeffrey was proficient on the guitar and had developed a sense for melody. Like all good song writers, Brian Jeffrey possesses the two key elements for success. 1. The artist expresses deep and real emotions steaming from life’s challenges. 2. He was born in New Jersey Brian’s first song was, “The Best.” It was written during a snow storm and was literally a cry for light during a dark and challenging time. It was also a celebration of love, hope and the healing powers of positive energy. Once the creative floodgates were opened and passion found, Brian Jeffrey wrote ten songs in ten months and began recording. A year later, in March 2012 he released his debut album, “i am brian jeffrey.” The album features ten original songs that were written, performed and produced by Brian Jeffrey. His style has been compared to Cat Stevens, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen. His haunting and melodic lyrics are complimented by beautiful vocal harmonies and acoustic guitars. Brian Jeffrey continues to write and record original songs. In April, 2012 his first music video, “The Best,” was posted on YouTube.
