True to his name, Haelo is not your everyday experience. Even as a youngster, Haelo has laid down various beats and tracks under a variety of different names. But when the Hip-Hop/Rap industry started spitting out garbage and calling it music, Haelo found his calling. Haelo was born in Washington, DC and raised in Prince George’s County. At age 8, he picked up the mic and performed his first song "God’s All That" at a school function in front of hundreds of people. "The beat was nothing more than a friend of mine banging on a table with a microphone in front of him," Haelo said. "I had two four-line verses and a hook. " From such humble beginnings comes the young, emerging artist. But for Haelo, the humble beginning isn’t over yet. "I just started recording out of my basement," he laughed. "But it’s a lot better form not recording at all." Still growing in his faith and his music, Haelo produces and writes all of his own tracks. "The music I hear on the radio now is crazy. I couldn’t take the language or the content anymore. I had to switch it up." And that isn’t just limited to the music he listens to. Haelo had a brief stint as a secular rapper, until God called him back. Now spiritually matured and battle tested, Haelo brings the truth in a new light, with hot beats and lyrics past his time. In a time when it seems that many Christians wont stand up for Christ, Haelo does. You feel me?
