DePrator said that the band will be releasing an EP in the next month or two and a full-length album later this year. One of DePrator/Kearns new songs is called "Thriving Industrial Metropolis," a song DePrator wrote about Dave Taraszewski, his former Atomic Crash bandmate who died last summer. Taraszewski is best known locally for his work in The 8 Balls and Edge City. "It's just about a working guy who likes rock 'n' roll that had to leave his band because he had too many responsibilities at his job and had no time left. It's about Dave Taraszewski. Originally when he lived in Cleveland and was in my band The Atomic Crash in the mid 2000s, he wrote this song called 'Sweet Lou.' It was basically about how artsy-fartsy and precious Lou Reed had become over the years, but paying tribute for the good stuff he did at the same time. I took the music that Taraszewski wrote, and some of the lyrics that I could remember. I turned the words around to sound like they were about Taraszewski and not Reed. Then I wrote more lyrics that were specifically about Dave Taraszewski." -Gary S. Angelo, Tribune Chronicle (Youngstown, OH) 1/1/2015
