The Texas based Messengers began performing together in 1995. Their prayer and purpose is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to a lost and hurting world. The Messengers' sound features smooth vocal harmonies, with melodic americana rock/country styles. All tracks are produced, arranged, & written by group members Tommy Clark and Jeff Clark, who also perform all musical accompaniments on their recordings. The group first achieved international exposure with the release of their signature song, "Saved By Grace". The song, one of the first written by Tommy Clark for The Messengers, became a US top 40 single in 1999, and was featured as the title cut on a 1998 release by the legendary "Florida Boys" gospel group. The Messengers signed with Lamon Records in 2002, and released their first album with international promotion and distribution, entitled CHILDREN OF LIGHT. Since then, The Messengers have received critical acclaim for their music, both in the U.S. and overseas (See Press/Reviews @ www.messengersmusic.com). In 2003, they received a first round Dove Award Nomination for their CHILDREN OF LIGHT CD for the Christian Country Album of the year, with Tommy Clark being nominated as producer of the album. To date, four singles off of CHILDREN OF LIGHT have been released for airplay in the US and abroad. In 2004, their single "My Saviour Paid It All" reached Number One on the NCM European Charts. Their follow up single in 2004, entitled "God Knows", debuted at Number Four on the European Charts. Their brand new CD, entitled UNDER THE BLOOD, was released for international distribution on the Careless W**d label in January, 2005. "Even The Rocks Cry Out", the first single released from the album, reached top 5 status in Europe and top 40 status on the U.S. "Power Source" Top 100 Christian Country Charts. The Messengers are: Jeff Seaton (a great tenor vocalist who plays bass guitar at live appearances), Jeff Clark(songwriter/vocalist/bass player & world class guitar picker), Tommy Clark (producer, arranger, vocalist, songwriter, piano, keyboards, bass, dobro, mandolin, steel & chief roadie), Glen Clement ("The Old Man", vocalist and Spiritual Leader). The Messengers have been featured in POWER SOURCE MAGAZINE, US GOSPEL NEWS, THE SINGING NEWS MAGAZINE, COUNTRY MUSIC ROUNDUP MAGAZINE (Europe), and many others.
