简介
The music and art of STROY are a massive discovery from modern Bohemia. Members: Michal Skorepa (Vocals), Marek Bero (Bass), Milos Meier (Drums) STROY are a metal band from Czech Republic. Michal Skorepa is a jazz/classical pianist at the Prague Conservatory; he also played the role of Jesus and Judas in Czech version of Jesus Christ Superstar. Milos Meier became the youngest ever to be named "Drummer of the Year" in the country, working with several of music icons, with projects ranging from jazz, orchestras, metal, drum clinics. Marek Bero is highly acclaimed bass player and tutor based in London, UK endorsed by Yamaha, Markbass and Mesa/Boogie. Stroy is a band based on artistic freedom. The metal, high technical quality and energy in Miloš's drumming, combined with Michal's dirty 90's grunge guitar sound and expressive singing, partly influenced by modern classical and jazz harmonies became the sound of the band. Stroy released their debut "Adam Reborn" in late 2014. The single "Adam Reborn" was nominated #6 of the Top 10 local songs of 2014 by the biggest culture webzine in Czech Republic. The lyrics of the songs were mostly about the resurrection of mankind's forgotten instinct and returning to its nature. The music video of Adam Reborn rose to the top of various music programs and publications in Czech Republic. In 2015, Stroy won the National Competition of The Global Battle of the Bands in Czech Republic. During the same year, they traveled to LA to record with producer Alain Johannes (Eleven, Arctic Monkeys, Chris Cornell, Queens of the Stone Age).
