There is a thin and invisible leading thread linking the many representatives of the human gender and which bends the different life’s stages to its own law, from blissful childhood to youthful ardour, from the age of cynical disillusions to senility: the perception of absence.

It’s a feeling – the one of eternal absence – which follows us like a shadow, gagging our lives in the net of an inexplicable syntax, and concretizes the most paradoxical meaning of absence itself: the presence of an absence.

An absence of persons, things or places that we have irreparably lost, often through a fault that is ours or for which we acquiescencely ascribe fate.
