12th Floor is Mikael Nordgren (aka D'Malicious, Wave Rec), a producer and DJ. His debut 12" for Raw Fusion blends dirty Detroit rhythms with a bouncy rare groove feel that results in a melting pot of Moodyman and Carl Craig theories. Together with a d**e Marlena Shaw sample and thumping drums you're left with a perfect mix of soul and techno. On the flip we asked Domu (the friendliest bad bwoay in the business) to turn the track into something which both hip hop heads and broken beat freaks would get down to.
