简介

The Perry Twins, Cameron E Neilson & Director Ryan Hanson Unite For Celebratory Dance Track ‘#allequalonthedancefloor’ Original song & music video herald “equality among all” Talk about star power. Los Angeles-based DJs & Producers The Perry Twins—who topped the Billboard Club Play chart with “Bad, Bad Boy” f/Niki Haris—have aligned with acclaimed Scottish songwriter & singer Cameron E. Neilson and music video director Ryan Hanson to release original celebratory equality anthem and accompanying music video “#allequalonthedancefloor.” The four collectively offer: “We believe that everyone around the world should be equal. But while we're waiting for some folks to catch up, let’s party! The one place that everyone is equal is the dance floor, and our goal is to send a feel-good message to the world. Music is a personal experience, and yet unifies everyone in a club, where you can celebrate alongside friends and lovers, people you have never met and those who are destined to change your life in ways you never imagined possible.” The upbeat song and its video are being released in January 2014, And yet the message of “#allequalonthedancefloor” remains topical for the long term, as a celebration of who we are, who we love and the mandate that being gay is something to take pride in, instead of lingering shame and the burden of social stigma. Indeed, this original song is dedicated to the ongoing progress made nationwide as gay marriage continues to permeate the United States, along with celebrities persistently coming out, and political moors evolving toward widespread acceptance of the LGBT community. In August, The Perry Twins, Neilson and Hanson successfully raised $6,765 to fund the recording and music video, via social media fundraising website Kickstarter, with the support of 112 backers—surpassing its original target of $6,000. Neilson told The Advertiser, “The support was overwhelming from all over the world. People are excited to really support the project, which is a great boost for us.” Rhode Island-based DJs & Producers (brothers Doug and Derek Perry) The Perry Twins first made noise in the club scene with “Activate My Body” f/Jania. Following the success of the No. 1 “Bad, Bad Boy,” the duo released mix CD compilation “Global Groove Dance 4,” alongside single “We’ll Never Know” f/Abigail. Doug & Derek have also remixed numerous hit dance tracks, including Christina Aguilera’s “Your Body," Beyonce’s “Best Thing I Never Had,” Tony Moran f/Frenchie Davis’ “You Are” and Jennifer Lopez’s “Louboutins.” They received the Weho Award for Outstanding DJ and spin throughout North America at hot clubs, parties and star-studded events. For five years, The Perry Twins also hosted radio mixshow “Dance Planet.” Los Angeles-based Neilson is an X Factor Alumni, and appeared on the U.K.’s “The X Factor” in 2010, reaching the final eight groups (alongside One Direction) and the “Judges Houses” section, ultimately performing in Simon Cowell’s home, while reaching a televised audience of 18+ million. The Scottish musician’s career was launched at age 7 performing in the stage version of feature film “Bugsy Malone.” Before the age of 10, he was writing songs, and performed as a featured singer at the “Queens Jubilee Celebrations,” which generated a full scholarship at the Arts Educational Stage School in London, where he earned a BA in Musical Theatre. Neilson also performed in the West End rock musical “BloodBath,” followed by leading roles in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s renowned “Starlight Express” and Cameron Macintosh’s “Just So.” Director Hanson, meanwhile, specializes in music videos, corporate promotions and demo reels for all areas of entertainment—including singers, dancers, actors and hosts. With a keen eye on professional, kinetic visuals, his Ryan Hanson Productions has become a standard-bearer in the industry. Doug & Derek Perry say, “We can’t wait for our song to reach the ears of the masses. We hope that it further instills pride in the gay and lesbian community, while reminding everyone on the dance-floor that we are all created equal.”
