Berlin based DJ, producer, author and sound designer for Arturia & Native Instruments, Torsten has released a plethora of pristine productions on Platipus since 2019, as well as releases under the moniker of Wellenrausch and Kymatik, and producing and remixing for luminaries such as Gai Barone, Jam & Spoon, The Thrillseekers, Markus Schulz, Andy Moor and Blank & Jones over the past 40 years. ‘Black Flower Blossom’ is Torsten’s debut concept album where aural Haute Couture meets electronic horticulture. Inspired by his own wild, varied and challenging life experiences over the past two years, it’s unequivocally meticulous and uncompromising productions deliver a true feast for the senses across 14 unique compositions. Every track is a homage to the intense emotional power that can be expressed and transmitted through a culmination of his love of the great outdoors and synthesized machine music…an amalgamation of nature and sound. On this rare occasion we will spare you the usual overgrown hyperbole and let you enjoy the pieces organically. ‘Black Flower Blossom’ will come to light on the 26th May.
