简介

Following their debut digital offering from Data Vault (which was given an amazing remix treatment by the legendary Terry Lee Brown Junior), New York’s Undulate Recordings is staying on course, heading deep down into the bowels of house music and delivering some goodness once again. This time, however, they’re ready to release their first slice of vinyl; which comes courtesy of Pawas, a man who should need no introduction to any serious aficionado of house music, after several years of consistent original output on top deep imprints such as Night Drive and Fear of Flying; to name only a couple. Leading things off on the A-side is “Borin’ Dream”; which turns out to be anything but borin’ as the title so cheekily suggests. Using cleverly arranged vocal snippets and an array of organic percussion to draw you in, the track is quickly taken over by it’s ever-evolving bass line which slowly leads the way and eventually opens up to evoke an energetic crescendo which will surely whip any dance floor into a frenzy. “Flying Drum” gives us a deeper look into the mind of a producer who clearly knows what it takes to send the dance floor into a deeper state of consciousness. The melancholic vibe slowly builds, drifting you off into a dream-state; filled with visions of fluffy clouds, broken hearts, mended souls, and possibly the occasional flying purple elephant (for those who may have dipped into their grandmother’s supply of kitty tranquilizers) If that mind-bending journey isn’t enough for you; simply flip the record over and you’ll be treated to an even deeper perspective, which slowly builds over the course of nearly twelve minutes; provided by the one and only, Losoul. The digital version of the release also features a stunning remix from label co-owner Al Alverez, aka Deepspell (who also lent his production expertise to the label’s debut release under his more house-leaning guise, Data Vault.) His remix takes Flying Drum and whips it into a deep, spell-binding (no pun intended - we swear), and club-ready rendition that slowly builds to a powerful crescendo at the break and adds a nice touch of class to the release.
