Willy Angelo was born in Auckland New Zealand in the year 1989. He grew up in a musical family, where occasionally they would go to family friends houses and sing gospel songs. From the age of 6 to 12 it was an ongoing process 2003 was Willy’s first year in High School attending Avondale College, where he entered his first Talent Quest Competition and he sung a duo song with his cousin Tau Manukia. Having loved the experience of making an audience enjoy a moment through music, it was from there that Willy decided he wanted to pursue music as a career. Willy then joined a new formed band that same year called Spacifix and from there things got serious. Spacifix was a platform for Willy to express his talent and skills of singing, dancing, songwriting and producing music on a national scale. By the year 2006, Willy had recorded an Album with the band, Had a T.V documentary series which was about the life of a High School garage band aiming to succeed in the music industry and travel to Hollywood and meet with big time label ‘Universal Motown’ and also had toured successfully to America, Europe, Australia and the Pacific Islands. Spacifix were also part of a campaign called ‘Mission On’ where they visited schools from the North Island and South Island of N.Z promoting Healthy living and keeping active to achieve personal goals. 2009 had Willy moving with the band to Brisbane Australia and are currently still living there. Willy has a passion for making beats and works as a disability worker. He is currently working on a new Pacific Reggae project, with his own unique Soul and Electronic twist. He hopes he can bring to the scene something different but keeping real to the sound that people love.
