Flip on the radio in Boston and chances are you will hear the voice of Candy O'Terry, also known as Candy O. She's been on the air at Magic 106.7 since 1992, and although she loves playing music on the radio, her first love is singing. In 1997 she got a chance to meet Jim Brickman and the two formed a friendship that lasts to this day. In 2004, she asked Jim if she could record his former #1 Christmas song "The Gift" and he generously agreed. Candy picked up the phone and invited David Corey of rival station Kiss 108 to sing the duet with her and the song was released that Christmas. The song got airplay at Magic 106.7 and at stations across the country and is well loved, especially by Candy's Boston fans. She's sung the track LIVE with Jim at his concerts in Boston and this year, received his permission to market the single to benefit the scholarship fund for an organization she co-founded called Boston Women in Media & Entertainment.
