Dylan Monti's breakthrough was in 2016 with the semi-viral Facebook video "Everybody Needs a Hug", which became a local hit. he currently studies music business at the University of Miami's prestigious Frost School of Music, where he has acclimated a small fanbase and plans to enter the music industry. His influences include The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Death Cab for Cutie, The Wombats, Bon Iver, Young the Giant, and Van Halen.
