Dylan Garcia is a singer, songwriter, musician, composer and producer from Oxnard, CA. He began writing poetry at the age of 12 and began writing music at age 19 when he purchased his first guitar. His motivation was to be original and creative, crafting his own signature style of music. In 2008, Dylan released an acoustic full length album titled “Addicted Melodies.” This marked his trademark sound of infused reggae, rock and hip hop. While living in Newport Beach, in early 2009 he started a band called Abel Gigz and the Fill Ins. They were a hot commodity, pretty much performing every week throughout Orange County and placing 3rd in the Warped Tour Battle of the Bands. Unfortunately, the band broke up and Dylan decided to pursue a solo career. While working at California Sound Studios in Lake Forest, he had a chance opportunity to meet Multi-Platinum, Grammy nominated producer Ronnie King. They hit it off immediately and began to work on a record, “High Tide,“ that landed him a record deal with Wright Records the next day. The creative chemistry they had together was limitless. They continued to work on an EP titled “Devils Playground.” Prior to its release, Dylan left the label and distributed it independently. After the birth of his child, Dylan took a 3 year hiatus to focus on being a father. Fast forward to January 2013, Dylan teamed up with Russian extraordinaire producer Wayz Whizz and released a hip hop album titled “Good Karma.” His writing had grown tremendously telling the stories of a failed relationship, struggle and pain. Dylan then went back to his original love of composing and writing with his guitar. He teamed up with Ronnie King for an EP titled “It’s All Good,” which was recorded at Castaway 7 Studios in Ventura. It was back to his roots of reggae, rock and hip hop. The EP was released in November 2013 independently. In December 2014, Dylan traveled to the desert to work with Ronnie King at his ranch studio, Chateau Relaxo, where they completed 5 tracks that took 2 years to be released. In 2015, Dylan began working with Filiverto Landeros at Lion City Studios in Ventura, CA. He was able to complete the unfinished work with Ronnie King as well as complete 3 more songs of his own. He decided to release all the material for free on Soundcloud. January 2016, Dylan had the opportunity to be on an all star collaboration project called, “Mantra for Good People,” produced by 5x Grammy winning record producer Kenny O’Brien. Spearheaded by Executive Producer Raquela Mejia, this launched Dylan’s career to the next level. February 2016, Dylan worked with Lion City Studios on an R&B/Funk record called “One Night Stand.” It was released on iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify. Dylan then teamed up with Latin songwriter, Claudia Arceo and composed a song titled, “Todo Sobre Ti.” Dylan recorded this record at Abstract Studios in Glendale, CA. It was also released on iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify. Currently, Dylan is working on his EP “Reflections of my Imperfection” at Say Audio Studios in Santa Paula. This will be his debut studio album composed of smooth, soulful, sexy and jazzy music and lyrics. His first hit single “Life of an Underdog” was released on March 17th, 2017 on iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify along with a music video on YouTube. Dylan Garcia has performed throughout all of Southern California. Including the House of Blues in Anaheim, residency in his hometown of Oxnard and shows in Los Angeles.
