ALAYA is an unfathomable word for some intricate phenomena of nature and human mind. The word in Bengali is used to describe the enigmatic marsh lights which has forever caught the imagination of man. It is probably the only word which communicates together all the senses of fear, suspense, thrill, excitement and hope. It is often considered to be counterpart of MIRAGE of the dark nights. In Sanskrit, the word signifies seventh level of consciousness of human mind. It is actually the basic sense wherefrom all other human senses originates. Only one man is supposed to have gathered this sense – GAUTAM BUDDHA and so, he is also known as MAHABUDHDHI ALAYA. It is the consciousness of self realization before the enlightenment to MOKSHA. In our endeavor to invoke and mystify the listeners of our songs, we just could not think of any other suitable word to name our group of warriors raising voice for social consciousness.
