Cape Town hip-hop artist GREEK. finally releases the highly-anticipated “RHULUMENTE Remix.” The single features the original cast of Guy Onke and mtshanakamalume, as well as new additions Dee Koala, Bravo Le Roux, Buzzi Lee, and Maglera Doe Boy, to round up one of the hottest line-ups of the year. The remix comes on heels of the already popular original, which has amassed thousands of streams and views on all platforms, as well as multiple playlist placements (The New Mzansi, Mzansi Hip-Hop, and African Hip-Hop playlists, amongst others, on Apple Music). The artists involved recently debuted the song at Dee Koala’s #4TheKhaltsha event in Cape Town to much fanfare from the crowd, who were initially anticipating a performance of the original version. Production was handled by the original producers a97 and Roscosteazy with the addition of DO2 - best known for his works with the likes of Lookatups, SimulationRxps, 031 Choppa, amongst others - who adds subtle yet impactful touch-ups to the already potent beat. In what has been a relatively quiet year for GREEK. (this release marks only his 2nd official single release of the year after previous single, “mshikishiki*”), he will surely end the year on a high note with what is definitely going to be one of the biggest hip-hop songs in the country.
