Franks Some Notes: “Something Massive” first began to take shape in the summer of 2012 as a side project during what would become the last days of my previous endeavor, Flesh Weapon. As the year went by, I began tinkering with new production methods, tricks, and formats. One year later a new, yet cohesive, sound and style began to emerge from these experiments at which point I decided to put them out as an instrumental record (my first instrumental release in 18 years!). “Something Massive” marks a new era for me as I begin to explore different genres and approaches to Hip-Hop and electronic music in general. I’m very excited for the future and I hope to see you all there! Play this LOUD! BASS!!! Thanks: A very special thanks to Janet for being my eyes and ears on this project. You’ve heard these songs WAY too many times already. Your faith, feedback, patience, and hearing (what’s left of it) are invaluable to me. During a time that it seemed like I had very few people in my corner, you were right there to tell me that I can do this! A very humble Thank You to Ron for always having my back and acting as my private consultant for years now (That Odd Couple Music is finally happening!!). Brian, my homie since Day Uno! The music we make together ALWAYS stands out above the rest and I’m so proud to have a NeedleDropperZ original represented on this record. Paulie, my dude, you were here in spirit. Belieeeve That! ModusOps for life! To my former band mates (Paulie, Ryan, and Todd), even though we couldn’t cut another record together, I carried you all in my thoughts during the making of this album. I hope and believe that somehow, some way, some day we will reunite in one way or another (can’t we all just get along?). I must always thank my Father Roy for giving me the gift of music appreciation (and Elvis’ middle name!). To my Brother Tim for showing me how to have rhythm and teaching me to never drop a boring beat (Go Deep!). To my Mother Barbara for bringing me into this strange world we live in. A huge thanks to all my fellow bassheads, hooligans, and cohorts (Hidalgo, C-Lo, Groucho, Gnu, Flu, L-To-The, Studio 222 and the entire Garcia Fam, Regan Mussell, Chance, Dylan, AudioDru, EMO, Anthony YouKnowWhatItIs,” Jaime M., J. Cross, Phil at Unbound Sound, my 9Lives Fam (Jorge, Joyce, Dymond, Travis, David, Andrea and Art; I miss you all!!), L-Train, Quest, Sharif, STATIK, and anyone else who encouraged me or was a part of the listening process along the way. I couldn’t have done this without you all. If I forgot your name, you should probably call me more!!! This album is dedicated to my first born Autumn “ALF” Franks. You are my shining light, my reason for living, and my best friend forever!! Everything I do is for you Alfie!! Daddy loves you! "I wanna write, I wanna paint, I wanna sculpt SOMETHING MASSIVE...I want to...God, I just have a creative urge to...I wonder if there's a men's room around here, excuse me, honey..." –Clark Griswold
