Music for Vital Inclusive Community Eric Law’s songs have been sung by over a million people in Kaleidoscope Institute workshops and worship. It has been a cycle of blessings, giving and receiving, learning and growing. 19 songs are now published in his latest book from Chalice Press, Holy Currency Exchange. “How will people who don’t read music enjoy these songs?” asked his editor. “We’ll make recordings!” was Eric’s visionary reply. The “we” now includes many friends of Eric and supporters of the ministry of the Kaleidoscope Institute: Katherine Cash & Norm Freeman, N2K Jazz Ministry Andrew Barnett & Theodicy Jazz Collective Kim & Reggie Harris Each of these ensembles has unique gifts, and they are coming together to give inspirational sound to Eric’s songs – old and new. Many people already sing “The Grace of Our Lord” and “Offer to God.” Some have been heard on YouTube as in “The Occupy Song.” New songs that will inspire vitality include “They That Sow with Tears”, “Forward and Backward,” and “Sustain the Weary.” The songs come from the blessings Eric received working with people all over the world spanning more than 30 years.
