This CD is a recording of the St. Paul's Church choir in the township of Philippi, South Africa. Philippi is a township of over 100,000 people near Cape Town. In this community the unemployment rate is approximately 60% and the estimated incidence of HIV/AIDS has reached 1 in 4. A team of musicians and technicians from Rolling Hills Covenant Church in southern California helped produce this recording in partnership with Bridges of Hope South Africa. The Bridges of Hope South Africa Project was developed in response to the AIDS pandemic that has ravaged the nation of South Africa. The AIDS pandemic in South Africa alone has already resulted in 1.5 million orpahaned children, for which there is not an adequate infrastructure to provide care. It is predicted that by 2010 there will be more than 5 million orphans in South Africa. All proceeds from the sales of this CD wil be used to bring hope and health to the youth and orphans in the community of Philippi.
