We are OneReasonRecordings, a non-profit organization that raises funds for social justice issues around the world through music. What you see is the combined effort of five artists, eight Board Members, and countless hours of work. We're happy to release our 2011-2012 Water Campaign Album: Collecting Droplets. The first social justice issue we're tackling is clean water. Your purchase goes towards our goal of raising $5,000 to build a well through charity:water. Who We Are and What We Do Mission Statement: OneReasonRecordings brings together music and service to realize our vision of a better world. We empower independent artists by using their music to mobilize listeners all across the world to take action in support of organizations fighting for social justice, enriching the lives of everyone involved. We are committed to making a real, sustainable impact on communities in need and harnessing the passion of talented artists to change the world, one song at a time. People can enjoy music from all over the world regardless of origin or language. Music has an amazing ability to emotional, mentally and physically change people. So what would happen if you were literally able to change the world with music? What would happen if artists from around the world sent in tracks of their original music to build albums that would support charities around the world? This is what we set out to do. How: We select one charity that we believe would benefit greatly with our support. We ask for local, national, and world-wide artists to produce songs that relates to the chosen charity topic or foundation. From all of the submissions that we receive, we choose 6-12 songs that we feel would best represent the chosen charity topic or foundation and produce an album. All profits from the albums will be donated to the charity of choice. One Reason Recordings is a way for artists to further their music careers through charity. Artists are given a page on our website where they can upload videos, post links, tour dates/venues, etc. to update their fans. This is just a little way that we can give thanks to our artists for helping us change the world through music.
