《Split》是88rising众所期待的年度厂牌合集《Head In The Clouds III》中的最新单曲,紧随 NIKI、Rich Brian 和 Warren Hue 的《California》、Warren Hue 的《Too Many Tears》、BIBI 的《The Weekend》和 Ylona Garcia 的《Don't Go Changing》之后。 关于《Head In The Clouds III》 《Head In The Clouds III》是“Head in the Clouds”这个独具代表性的特色系列专辑的第三部,由88rising从东方到西方的数位新晋艺术家与特邀嘉宾共同参与制作。 About "Split": In her sentimental new single “Split”, NIKI, who was raised in Jakarta and found herself in the United States to pursue music, chronicles the ache of feeling split between two worlds and two homes. Written by NIKI herself and produced with frequent collaborators Jacob Ray and Bekon & The Donuts, “Split” depicts the emotional pull and turmoil that the pressure to continually adapt brings. "Split" is the latest single in 88rising's long-awaited Head In The Clouds 3 collaborative album, following "California" with NIKI, Rich Brian, and Warren Hue, "Too Many Tears" with Warren Hue, "The Weekend" with BIBI, and "Don't Go Changing" with Ylona Garcia. Artist Statement: I wrote “Split” in 2019 with Jacob Ray. It was initially written for MOONCHILD but I took it off because it felt way too personal, special, and needed its own life. The song is about forever having to split myself between Indonesia and Los Angeles and feeling like I have to constantly “split the difference”, adapt, and assimilate all the time. It’s a song about home, identity, and the struggle to find either. It’s very personal and I hope you all love it as much as I do! About Head In The Clouds 3 Head In The Clouds 3 is the next installment of the iconic album series featuring 88rising artists and special guests from East to West. The project will bring listeners from around the world into the universe of the Asian-American experience. After a brief hiatus in 2020, this year's long-awaited Head In The Clouds 3 builds upon the massive success of 88rising’s world-building first two installments of the Head In The Clouds series, which have amassed over 1.9 billion streams to date. This year also marks the return of the Head In The Clouds Festival on November 6th & 7th in Southern California. The Head In The Clouds series included singles such as the RIAA-certified Gold, perennial summer anthem “Midsummer Madness”, US Top 40 radio hit “Walking”, and TikTok viral sensation “Indigo”. About NIKI: With over 1.3 billion+ streams to date, 22-year-old NIKI has slammed the door on the conventions of pop stardom—writing, recording, and producing her music on her own. Born in Jakarta and based in Los Angeles, NIKI has captured the attention of audiences around the world, earning praise from Billboard “as one of the brightest rising stars.” Earning wide critical acclaim since her breakthrough EP, “Zephyr”, and her debut album, “MOONCHILD”, NIKI has cultivated fans around the globe with her expressive voice, personal songwriting and genre-blurring artistry, becoming a vibrant symbol of – and an advocate for – a generation of Asian musical artists.
