After years as a decorated guitarist, Liz Berg began her emergence as a stand-out vocalist and songwriter in 1997. Since then she has given hundreds of performances between Los Angeles and London and in her hometown of Chicago has been recognized by print media that includes The Chicago Tribune, Riverside Landmark, Berwyn Gazette, and Suburban Life newspapers. A highly versatile persona, Berg has hosted her own radio show, acted in many feature films, created and taught classes in Songwriting and Rock and Roll History, and has been a visible teacher and jobbing musician in Los Angeles and Chicago. Although Berg has been recognized in many roles, she perceives the role of songwriter as the most important. Berg's 2003 indie release, Not the Same was a declaration of independence and non-conformity themes and sold in 5 countries. Berg's 2007 release, Coattails, is a concept album and social commentary on the tests of morality and forgiveness that affect relationships. Berg's "God Says" was recently spotlighted on Local 101, the webpage of Chicago's biggest rock station, Q101. Berg's versatility is such that she can do acoustic or electric shows with her band or solo. Berg is a proud vegetarian and supporter of human rights.
