"The Concept is a rock opera in two acts,written and performed by TEF. Taking inspiration from a diversity of conceptual albums suck as "The Wall", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Hair", the Who's "Quadrophenia" and Arcade Fire's "The Suburbs", TEF managed to create a modern rock musical which reflects on today's world and the people in it. “The Concept” tells the story of Tom, a talented and popular television talk show host that, through the years, has drifted away from his ideals of his youth and instead turned into a rich, materialistic, greedy and selfish man. Through his talkshow “Tom’s World”, he is introduced to Laura Sterling, leader of the “Conceptual Peace Lovers” (CPL), a modern, influential hippie community that tries to instruct the world in their way of living, their “Concept”. Laura persuades Tom to come to a CPL demonstration in Amsterdam to regain his lost ideals. Laura may provide him with damning information about the war in Afghanistan, in return she hopes to receive broadcast time for the CPL on his show "Tom’s World". An old friend of Tom however, is tricked into sabotaging this plan. At all costs…..
