At age 73, Cliff McGoon calls himself a latecomer to songwriting. He earned his living as a writer and producer of magazines in the business environment. He wrote his first of three mystery novels at age 62. His first song--"Thunder In the Night"--didn't come until 2012. He has played guitar since college, and has long been a bluegrass/ country fan. His song lyrics reflect his interests in life: riding his Harley, his roots in northwestern North Dakota, exploring life's arc and the surprises we all experience.
