'Resonate' is the third album from independent producer, Chiron2009. It is a major shift from the previous works of 'Dreams & Nightmares' and 'Electronic Motion' due to the weaving of ethnic-orchestral elements with EDM backbeats and synth-work. The main inspiration for this album were pieces composed by the former-group, E.S. Posthumus who put orchestral music in a popular music context whilst adding a sense of mysteriousness and story behind the name. I chose the name 'Resonate' as a literal meaning for the album because I wanted to compose something that evoked feeling and emotion in the person listening to it. The song titles are inspired and based on my love of the language of Latin, thus are altered in a way that make them more exciting to decipher. The album draws its influence from a assortment of ethnic and western cultures with the inclusion of various instruments from India, China and Japan. Chiron2009 is a one-person multi-genre project that was launched back in 2007 by producer, editor and musician Chiron Farrimond, otherwise known as Chi. The project specialises in experimental ambient EDM (electronic dance music) and film music, combining classical and orchestral elements with electronic undercurrents. Chiron2009's debut album, 'Dreams & Nightmares' was released 20th December 2012 with the sequel album 'Electronic Motion' being released the year after on 22nd July 2013. I believe in constant change. I don't always stay with one fixed genre as I tend to refer to my style as being fusion, I love to experiment with combining styles such as orchestral with dubstep elements. Sites like YouTube gave me a ground to explore for music like never before, originally I had the odd album or two bought from a music store but a lot of my music was from my parent's collections so I came to know and like bands such as ABBA and The Beatles. Some of the major influences on my sound have been quite varied as I have a wide musical pallet, but I always love listening to the music of Owl City, BT, E.S. Posthumus, Two Steps From Hell and Solar Fields.
