BIO FOR AARON PEARSON Aaron was born in Provo, Utah in 1971. His family moved to Walnut Creek California when he was 4. Inspired by the likes of Van Halen and AC/DC, he picked up his first guitar at the age of 11. Aaron has since become an accomplished singer/songwriter and guitarist. He is also proficient on the piano, bass and drums. Aaron has formal education in the areas of voice and music theory...obtaining an AA degree from Diablo Valley College. He has also received a Music Recording Industry certificate from San Francisco State University. Aaron teaches guitar and voice at the individual level. Some of his musical influences include Metallica, Dokken, Boston and the aforementioned Van Halen and AC/DC. Aaron cut his teeth playing with local bands such as Y-Not, Last Laugh and Hybrid…Opening for such groups as Ugly Kid Joe, Badlands and many other up-and-coming acts. Aaron was called upon by Eddie Money to fill in on guitar for a last minute show, learning the entire set in a matter of 36 hours! Since then, he has been invited back numerous times to lend his skills. His keyboard and vocal work with Van Halen tribute band, Hot for Teacher, found him opening for 80's rock icons, Y&T. In 2002 Aaron released his first CD, an acoustic project entitled "Classic Side"…This laid the groundwork for his future efforts. This was also the year DAMAGE INC. was born. Aaron decided to pay homage to the heavy metal pioneers and has done so with great success. He has taken on the role of James Hetfield with great enthusiasm. The audience reaction to these shows is nothing short of fanatic! In the spring of 2005, he recorded his debut album, the self-titled "AP" with the current lineup. Reaching back thru the years for songs that have been waiting to resurface, this release offers a wide range of styles and substance…from hard driving metal to classic rock ballads. His original material has led to him opening this year for Dave Meniketti of Y&T fame and also for New Orleans blues legend Dr.John. His song "Phortuente" has received extensive airplay on the Bay Areas' 107.7 The Bone radio station. Aaron has surrounded himself with two very outstanding musicians for both his live shows and studio work: Larry Howe on drums...Best known for his work with Vicious Rumors and Stephen Goodwin on bass...A multi-talented powerhouse! Aaron divides his time between the East Bay and the beautiful foothills of the Yosemite Valley. "Music is an emotional and spiritual release for me. And it's fun! I like to get big reactions out of people by playing songs!" - Aaron Pearson
