简介

"The 7th Dimension" - a pure instrumental album - is the first official release of Syngularity, proving the power of collaboration. On this album you will hear catchy synth themes, shining guitars, a little new age flair sometimes, and some quite dark ambiences. We are looking forward to present this production to all friends of cinematic instrumental music! Pascal Gregory - synths and programming Minouche - keyboards and synths Serious-Music - synths and programming RedEyeC - guitars, bass, drums, keyboards Alexis Van Eeckhout - saxophone, piano, keyboards Nigel Potter - guitars J. O. Simon - guitars Thevi Olin - guitars Special thanks to HG Fortune, Dream Vortex Studio, Erik Wollo, Spectrasonics and Steinberg. Produced by Pascal Gregory. Artwork by Mario Franke. ABOUT THE PROJECT: Syngularity started 1997 with a couple of melodic electronica tracks. Sometimes we touch the symphonic/soundtrack genre, and we also love to include elements of rock and a special sound design (using hardware devices like Roland and Korg and fine virtual solutions created by Steinberg, Spectrasonics, HG Fortune and many others). International singers and instrumentalists are always involved, and we enjoy working together with all these talented artists who help us to keep the musical output colourful and fresh. After the album debut ("Eye Of Orion") with his partner Minouche in 2000 Pascal Gregory invited talented friends, singers and instrumentalists from Germany, USA, Australia, The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, UK and Japan. All involved artists developed a style together that also includes influences of modern rock, jazz and pop. Syngularity was honored with several award nominations and kind mentions by numerous befriended musicians and music software developers. Please visit the Syngularity homepage for more infos. Here are some reviews for tracks of "The 7th Dimension"! Maria Daines about "The Constant H" (featuring Nigel Potter): "And many strides taken in the intro alone... This movement is tangible, dark and eerie one minute and the next light and inquisitive... A theme of resonance - for looking over the shoulder at the story behind, or the reflection coming from around the next corner, an outline, just before you see the full figure coming into view... Beautifully crafted layers to build the anticipation and keep us on our toes until the hint of a new passage is well on the way... Mysterious, headstrong, bold and edgy, a flight taking place with the threat of attack nearside... Oh I could go on for pages about what this song gives rise to in terms of scenery and imagery! The pace is fluent and barbed with stepping stones, counter paths and signposts to other worlds, which one to take is the big question... Bravo dear friends, this music is a form of escape, a route to travel and lose all reality, wonderful work and stunning talent, positively visionary. You are remarkable artists painting with the brushes of sound, each colour is a delight to the ears. Nigel's guitar playing is always something to look forward to and this collaboration is a dream. Awe inspiring Pascal, much respect for your work and this shining creation. Thank you :):)" Kenneth John Parsons about "Physics Of Toys" (featuring Minouche): Here we have an extremely well-crafted example of New Age Electronica, impressed with makers mark Singularity. Titled Physics of Toys - feat. Minouche, I consider this particular composition to be among the best of its kind anywhere. Pieces of such quality are quite rare today and have become much sought-after by music afficianados due to their exquisite detailing and workmanship. Nice one! Will Mitchell about "One Foot On The Floor" (featuring Thevi Olin): "This track is great. I read your description and was skeptical....But it is just too good to resist...I love the pool samples...But what i really love is your rocking bass line on the synth...The guitar work is equally brilliant. I love them especially in the break down in the midsection of the song...Which also contains the best harmonic sequence in my opinion...I just love that driving bass line...if you hear all of this transcendent stuff when you play pool then you are a very deep individual...This is a great track and i'm adding it to my faves." Brian Ralston about "Her Oasis" (featuring Bob Forbes): "I'm really lost for words which is probably a good thing because otherwise I would just start gushing. Seamlessly this track builds from a gentle pretty track into one of incredibly awesome power and again seamlessly drops back into the tranquil. I'm a bit confused as to whose composition it was. I'm assuming it's Bob's and that Pascal has "added the extras" but whichever of you is responsible, you have created a masterpiece and to the other congrats for your imput. I love the delicate interplay between the flute and piano sounds in the beginning. Harp and strings then fill it out. It's just so beautiful. The introduction of the rhythm builds it ever so slightly and then it just keeps building and building. I can't include all the highlights in this review so I will stop now. This is a must listen to."
