From the North of Scotland, Maria has built a reputation for her unique songs, stunning voice and captivating live performances. Over the past seven years Maria has played at venues throughout the U.S.A. and Europe, including The Epcot Center, Florida, Charles De Gaulle Airport, Paris, and T in the Park, Scotland. Maria's music has enjoyed frequent radio and TV exposure. Originally playing with the band Crannog, Maria is now an established solo artist. In 2003 Maria played Celtic Connections, at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and completed a tour of London's acoustic venues, including The Kashmir Klub and The Halfmoon. This was followed by an appearance on the PRS/Songlink stage at the Go North music conference. Maria also played support on The Proclaimers Scottish tour, appeared at the Stockton International Festival and travelled to Los Angeles to play acoustic sets at venues including The Rainbow Room and The Acoustic Playhouse. In the Autumn Maria played London's acoustic venues once again. Maria started 2004 with a return to Celtic Connections. In August Maria again travelled to the U.S.A. playing acoustic venues in Memphis & Nashville. This was followed by shows in London and promotional performances at Borders' stores. One of her songs, 'Mischief', has been included on a BBC TV soundtrack and won an award in the UNISONG international songwriting contest. In October 2004 Maria released her third CD, 'Second Hand Charm'.
