I'm from Louisiana and grew up listening to music from many sources and styles. My very first band was Tempest, with bandleader John Gerbrect, Jr. I was the replacement bassist for Randy Jackson, who went to Dr. John. Also, I later gigged with Herman Jackson and Kenny Landrum. Really in comparison, I'm a songwriter more than a musician. Later, Randy and I both worked at Deep South Recorders. Randy, Herman, and Kenny went on to great fame. I'm not famous or even that great on guitar. I just like to write and record songs.
