This album, written by the talented and prolific writing team of Buddy Lee and Jim Disney, and truly an independent country music work of art, is one that will satisfy the cravings of all true country fans; Buddy & Jim have been a writing team for over 11 years, and have had some of thier work recorded on varied artist's albums, but this is the first album, dedicated to their songs, exlcusively. All never-before-heard, originals .. some traditional, some new country, a little bluesy stuff, some boot scootin, some rockin', and one very special tribute. All of it is sure to make ya cry a little, smile a little, and for sure, make ya wanna dance a lot! But this isn't only about their efforts; we have a brand new, and soon to be very well-known country artist here, to entertain ya'll, and he does that so WELL! Billy Cole is his name, and singing is FOR SURE his game ! Billy was born, a military "brat", in Swindon, Wiltshire, England, but was raised for part of his childhood and all of his teen years in Latimer, Mississippi... in Elvis country, near Biloxi. In his younger years , Billy did a lot of singing in church, and in Southern Gospel quartets in high school and in College. He sang professionally for over 10 years, doing a variety of music, such as country, easy listening, ballads and ..Elvis music. Oh yes... Elvis, for sure .! But there's another side to Billy Cole; one that may be a little surprising, and certainly praiseworthy. This album could easily have been enttled "The Preacher goes Country", because that is Billy's chosen vocation. Surprising, right? Well, maybe not, when you know the man, Billy Cole. A man dedicated to God and constantly working in His service, ministering to his "flock", at the Owosso, Mi Family Worship Center as their Senior Pastor, keyboardist and music director. Billy spends a major portion of his life, on a daily basis, ministering to the elderly citizens, the ailing and infirm, and the needy, comforting, and providing support, and in doing so, also finds time to "entertain" them, with his outstanding talent, doing a ton of "free" concerts and shows for many of the senior citizen assisted living communities in the area, with his adorable wife, Daphne supporting him all the way. Don't have to tell ya, the folks LOVE the both of em! Of course in Billy's case, that feeling is mutual. Some "professional" type people, may say Billy has a "dual or split" personality; A pastor.. AND an entertainer? Well, we call it a "split passion". He is very passionate about his work, but equally passionate in his desire to sing, and in his performance. Billy says, it has been a lifelong dream to record original Gospel and Country Music, and has a great love for both genres. You'll hear that in this album, and one more thing. You may swear that you hear Elvis on some of these, and sometimes we think that Billy may be an Elvis reincarnation, but then we realize, that Billy is highly versatile, and no matter who he reminds you of , it is ALL Billy Cole, for real ! One last comment.. the last song on this album is a tribute to some very special people, but we'll let Billy tell you who, when he gets to that one!
