He was the second member of the live act Oxia created with Olivier Raymond in 1994. In 1997, he prefers to give up the Oxia project, And move his carreer into different electronic collaboration ( Mix machine with Kiko on Ozone records, Gino’s on Sinema and Human body on Goodlife and Hot Banana…) His collaboration with Kiko has given us some master tracks released on prestigious labels like Gigolo, Turbo and lasergun records. René Kristensen) remains one of the industry’s most respected and hard working individuals. Already with over 10 years experience under his belt, Noir gave up his daytime job at the end of 2003 to focus and concentrate on his dj and producing career, and he has never looked back. After spending most of 2004 concentrating on perfecting his sound, Noir got his debut with signings on more than 10 labels including Toolroom Records, Data, Juicy, Oxyd Records, Deeplay, and Warner. It was during this time that his massive track ‘My MTV’ was unveiled. Quickly snapped up by Toolroom, the track swiftly gained support from every key dj on the planet, and duly rocketed to number 2 in the Buzz Chart and number 4 in the Miami Buzz Chart. It shot to number 1 in the Beatport chart – staying in the top 10 for more than 3 weeks – whilst also hitting number 1 on Dj Download. Support for his innovative new sound was unprecedented. Tong, Knight, Fanciulli, Cox, Sanchez and Deep Dish were amongst the major supporters for his productions, whilst the list of labels looking to source remixes continued to grow every day. Further tracks ‘Helpless’, ‘We Got Love’ and ‘Feel Alive’ continued to push the boundaries, whilst his superb collaborations with Katherine Ellis, Roland Clark, Chris Lake, Ian Carey, Paul Harris, D. Ramirez, Olav Basoski, Robbie Rivera and Granite & Phunk amongst others were immediate hits on labels that included Onephatdeeva, DTPM, Southern Fried, Gossip, House Session, Sume and Double Frequency. In late 2007 Noir decided to start Noir Music, and the label is now established as one of the most forward thinking imprints on the market. Noir Music serves as an outlet for his own productions whilst also showcasing some of the best new producers in music, and releases that include ‘Super Skunk’, ‘Tetris’, ‘All About House Music’, ‘Icicle’, ‘U-Turn’ and ‘Strangers Cliff’ have hit the top spots on charts for Beatport and countless other download sites. On the live front, Noir has been dj’ing since 1997, and in that time has received various nominations including ‘Upfront DJ Of The Year’ and ‘Producer Of The Year’ at the Danish DJ awards. And after hosting his own weekly upfront radio show ‘Groovecouch’, Noir decided to concentrate on guest sets for radio stations, whilst performing at the globe’s finest clubs. As 2008 rolls on, Noir remains determined to maintain his status as a significant player and innovator on the scene for many years to come.
