This cd is meant to awaken your senses and to feel relaxed while listening. Music, must strike a passion or emotion in order to ‘live’ it. The music that was selected to be on this cd was personally selected as the emotions that are felt become very strong from within. The cd takes you on a journey. The journey is a personal one, which will be different for everyone. The end of the journey will hopefully leave you satisfied and content, offering a peace in your heart and mind. Born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1981, Andreas Moutsioulis started his classical guitar studies at the age of seven, under the tuition of Anastasios Amiridis. He completed his guitar diploma at the Municipal Conservatory of Thessaloniki in 2001 receiving the highest mark. Andreas then continued with his education obtaining a Bachelor and Master’s degree in music from Ionian University of Greece. He has also a Postgraduate title from Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria. Today he is a PHD student at Ionian University, Greece. There have been many famous and distinguished guitarists that Andreas studied with or attended master classes such as Leo Brouwer, Eliot Fisk, Ricardo Gallen, Jorge Morel, Marco Tamayo, Costas Cotsiolis, David Russell etc. Andreas has accomplished many goals within his musical career. He has won several National and International contest prizes. He was invited as a soloist in many festivals like the 4th Congress Association of Southeastern Guitarists, Naxos Guitar Festival, Evangelos Assimakopoulos guitar festival in Patras etc. He has performed as a soloist guitar player as well as accompanied by Chamber music or by Orchestras. One of Andreas career highlights came in October 2008 when he played in Athens Concert Hall with the Athens Camerata-string Orchestra in front of HRH Princess Irene of Spain. Since 2008 he has begun making his own transcriptions of works by composers of the wider musical repertoire on the guitar.
