Textura is a solo project of Eliseo Amezcua out of California. His self-released debut album "Ten Dimes" is a mixture of high-speed glitch-beats and funky grooves (similar to Kraftwerk, Autechre and Clock DVA.) Strange laser sounds bounce around to spastic metallic beats on "Anorexia" while "Scabs" hits you over the head with tectonic beats, intricate synth layers and enough weirdness to keep fans of Autechre happy. "Ten Dimes" is great background music which I found quite satisfying while sitting here at my desk. Textura have created a very strong first effort with "Ten Dimes."
