简介
Da Militia - Rap super-group consisting of 4 emcees (DeLo, KiLL@MiC, Alonzo V, and L.G. De Leon) reigning from the South Side of Chicago with their sights set on taking the hip-hop world by storm. It started in the back of a barbershop. The group (3 of whom first met as part of former group) would gather weekly to rap over various beats, collectively forging their individual styles to create a new sound of rhyme. However, it wasn’t until January of 2015 when Da Militia would gain local popularity in the music scene. Members Alonzo V, KiLL@MiC, and L.G. De Leon competed together in a local rap competition to be an opening act for the MidWest Legends Concert in Joliet, Illinois. The competition was judged on performance and overall crowd response. Not having released any material publicly or having a group name established yet, the trio were a bit skeptical. The concert featured performances from major rap headliners Bone-Thugs-n-Harmony, Twista, Crucial Conflict, and Do or Die. They competed and emerged victorious, but it was just the beginning. In the Spring of the same year, the group picked up their 4th member DeLo, and officially established themselves under the moniker “Da Militia.”( Under local multimedia group “Sound Addix Militia”) They continued to record and work behind the scenes, mixing their styles and creating new flows. In October 2015, the group competed again in a local artist competition to be an opening act for MidWest Legends 2 Concert in Chicago, IL. The concert featured major headliners including Chingy, Da Brat, Twista, Do or Die, Crucial Conflict and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. They competed and emerged victorious once again, all without having dropped a single mixtape or track. The success of their accomplishments and local buzz set in motion the plans for their debut project “Young Legends”, slated for a fall 2017 release. The project is said to have only a couple features from other local artists, along with major producers such as Tony Fadd.(producer of Fetty Wap’s 4x platinum selling Grammy nominated “Trap Queen”) Da Militia have since interviewed on Chicago college radio station UIC Radio “Thumpin’ Thursdays” with Dj Cease Days, as well as received a shout-out on “Power 92 Raw Radio” local FM station. Da Militia debut project “Young Legends” coming soon.
