简介
My music on this album is inspired by my family and friends who the songs are written for. Each tune has a story behind it and hopefully will evoke your own memories and inspiration. It's perfect for dinner music, or back ground music for reading a book or driving. Here's some information about each of the songs. "Us Together" -Inspired by my family. The wife and young son are awesome in my life. A really good Saturday together inspired the title to this song and now when I hear it I'm reminded of how beautiful my family is. As you listen to it, remember your family and positive experiences. "Long Island" -A trip to Long Island can leave you in a dream like state. This was written while in Long Island. The alternate tuning and rhythm will send soaring on the sound just above the ocean. Thanks to my good friend George! "Kansas Town" - Where the train whistles blow, and the sound of guitars are heard through the night, Winfield Kansas can be just that inspiring. This is especially a good memory of my late father, whom I made my first trip with, to Winfield. "Little Bit" - My little one is a joy. This is a perky song with fun transitions and ultimately cool melody! "Jakey Loves Jesus" - Inspired by a young man, who shows true admiration and dedication to his Christian faith. "Russian Fog" Title inspired by a student with a creative mind. This unique minor beat will send you thinking of Russia on a foggy morning. Is there fog in Russia? "Travel Time" Travel time is a bluegrassy paced tune. It came from the idea of a child's journey to this earth and how amazing it is. "Playing with The Planets" Playing with the planets of course is a strange title for a song. Dreams can be strange as well. Especially since I dreamed of a guitar student once playing soccer with the planets. No kidding. "I'm Saying I Love You" An oldie here. This song was written for my wife, Twila. It was performed at my wedding and is a wonderful testament of my love for her. There are lyrics too, but the melody is just beautiful! "LJ's Groove" My son is a ball of fun and this had to be named after him. It was also inspired by another guitarist, Laurence Juber, who plays in an alternate tuning known as DADGAD. This is a fun tune! "Earth"Inspired by the things around and the sound of this tune reminded my son of Earth. I asked him what it sounded like and he said, "Earth". He's only 3 and 3.5 years old by the way. :) "Rest Your Way Home" Losing a parent is tough. Rest Your Way Home is my sweet song for my dad, who passed in 2010. He was the initiator of my guitar career and got me started on the instrument.
