My name is William Jacobs, but online I go by RLGMusic. I started doing music as a child, beginning piano lessons when I was around 6. However, I wouldn't truly develop a passion (or any kind of tangible skill) for music until I received a keyboard age 10. At that point, I was constantly on it, and I would try to figure out tunes from video games (primarily Zelda) to play on it. I've been learning all my music by ear ever since. In late 2015 I discovered the wonder of digital music production and instantly set about producing my own remixes for video games on Youtube. They were utterly atrocious. Thankfully, I've progressed a lot since then and in October of 2016 I began production of my first original album, entitled The Calm. It's a chilled-out series of instrumental songs based around piano, orchestra and synths, all of which I'm utterly fascinated with. The fascination in particular with synths and electronic music displays itself fully in the aptly named Synthesis. Somewhat a rarity on the album, a percussion line underpins many different synth lines which fade in and out, alongside each other and in all sorts of interesting ways. The whole song, as per my style, carries a calm (ayy) feeling, and has more subtleties than this bio has useless information. To produce and distribute my own music to the world is a dream come true for me and it's incredibly surreal to be releasing my first single for my first album.
