Maximo Diego Pujol, an Argentinian, is one of the most captivating guitar composers of our time. Pujol wrote the two movement Homenaje a Anibal Troilo in honor of one the greatest masters of the tango. El Ultimo Telón (The Final Curtain) is a sentimental tango written in the style of Troilo, while La Malandra (The Scoundrel) is an amusing milonga written for dancing and good times. Romeo Died was first performed by the Amsterdam Guitar Trio, and now a fourth guitar part has been added.
