Under the leadership of 2015 GRAMMY Music Educator Award Finalist, Danny L. Yancey these students have created music that comes straight from their hearts to yours! Track Descriptions 1) "Be Who You Are" -- written and performed by Sadie Heiler and Alana Moore This high energy party anthem encourages us to be proud of who we are and to stay true to our unique selves. 2) "Shadow Girl" -- written and performed by Abby Davis This song tells the story of a girl lost in the darkness of her own mind. Abby is both singer and featured guitarist on this track. 3) "The Hard Life" -- written and performed by Emery Brown, Bronte Delmonico and Ainsley Mesnard This song describes the feeling of hopelessness that many people feel due to lack of resources and lack of opportunities. 4) "Someday" -- written and performed by Caroline Crouse This song cautions the listener to be careful of how one handles love. The love that is mistreated now could be the love that you're missing...Someday. 5) "Yours" -- written and performed by Sundin Cole This song talks about growing up and becoming independent but never forgetting from where one came. If laughter is the way, then "I'll make you laugh until you cry for my love." 9) "Can't Put It Out" -- written and performed by Abby Schiller With its driving guitar rhythms and solid vocals, this song talks about growing up and the feelings that go along with it. Butterflies, butterflies trying to be free." 11) "Beautiful" -- written and performed by Leah Townsend " You, you're beautiful to me, no matter what the others say, and I, I finally get the chance to say... I finally get to say I love you." Leah has written a beautiful acoustic ballad that is sure to make you feel beautiful.
