简介
A sweet distillation of family tradition with an alternative sound: Country music with a frequent edge. "My Saviour, My Sin", the opening tribute to home and hearth, showcases the duo's vocal harmonies in a rocking Appalachian arrangement. The mandolin driven, "Carryin' Coal" spotlights Kelly's distinctive, smoky voice. The two dip into everything from new country to the atmospheric closer "Southern Sound" - that's a pile of star power into the young folks genes. Pat Langston - Ottawa Citizen Radio friendly but still tasty! Very cool. I think this is a great album. "Faster" ... very soulful vocal, excellent ballad, "Southern Sound" .... organ rocks... so does Kaylen's vocal, "Mississippi Moon" - nice little semi-hidden, down home, lo-fi track. Bruce Leperre - No Fences Radio Show. www.730ckdm.com Great productions and I love the subtleties of it. Like Levon Helm, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Nickel Creek, an early Memphis sound. No overdone anywhere or gimmicky. I'll definitely play it. Tom Tompkins - Operations Manager The Rush/The Wolf/Williams Lake/Quesnel/100 Mile House B.C.
