This debut single is composed and performed by the Australian band, The Little Aussie Battlers featuring songwriter Jennifer Cipollone on piano/keyboard and her husband lead vocalist/drummer Ettore Cipollone. Jennifer wrote the song based on Ettore's experiences in managing his four amazing and very different guide dogs. First there was Terry (the terrific) whose capacity to eat could have been in the Guinness Book Of Records. Then, Rocky (the legend) who was ready to take a bullet for his master and able to stare down for a front row seat.  Next was lazy Lester, who loved his home and all the creature comforts after a hard day at the office. Finally Ivan (the superstar), trim, taut and terrific and ready to be chosen for the next Hollywood epic. We could have had an infinite number of verses to describe the many crazy and wonderful antics of the guide dogs but the song tries to capture an overriding sentiment. The music attempts to convey a day in the life of the Labrador guide dog from the dog's perspective, at work and at play. This song is a tribute to our dogs who will always be remembered and loved as part of our family. It is also a tribute to all guide dogs who work with their handlers to enable them to share and enjoy in a "lovely life".
