This 1983 recording by “The Russians” later known as RUSCHA was made available for digital distribution in August 2012. Outside of a little help on the lyrics from fellow students each and every song was written, composed, arranged and produced by Nikolai R. Pankratz showing his unique musical talent, versatility and taste. While working with names such as Eddi DeGarmo (DeGarmo & Key), Mark Blackwood (The Blackwood Brothers), Mike Brigandelo and The Memphis Symphony Orchestra Nikolai projected a level of professionalism rarely seen in the recording industry with sheet music written out in detail for each and every instrument.

Since the project was initially introduced within the context of a school recital the styles differed covering a unique spectrum of genres and arrangements with unique tempo changes and modulations. Released (at that time still on cassettes, vinyl and 8-track cassettes) the album received air play and was picked up by a label enabling Nikolai and his brother Peter to travel with names like the Blackwood Brothers paving the way for RUSCHA.
