Releasing Mind Control as the sixth release on the Crown Jules label, 27 year old producer Trapah gives us a generous five track EP with guest production from label owner J Beatz. With a sound that varies from Trap and Grime to Reggae, Trapah displays his many clear influences in this EP. Trapah demonstrates his musical skill with Grime and Reggae splattered productions throughout, with tinges of Hip-Hop in 'Fourtune Master' and what sounds like will burst into Dubstep in 'Mind Control', Trapah reveals a production style that favours the modern day sound of multi layered and hard synths as well as crisp, deep and grimey sub bass drums. Skipping midway through the EP from 'I Think I Want Some More' to 'Blue Slim' which uses snappy snares, loud claps and booming bass to create a harsh and dark background feeling for the listener. 'Mind Control VIP' rounds things off with a powerful reworking of the track for total dancefloor destruction.
